Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Board of Fire Commissioners shall be the provision of fire protection to the residents and taxpayers within the geographical boundaries of Washington Township Fire District No. 1, County of Warren, State of New Jersey.
The Board of Fire Commissioners shall utilize and expend public monies in accordance with New Jersey statutory requirements to preserve a high level of readiness within the Fire Department, as well as for equipment to maintain state of the art firefighting and rescue abilities. The Board of Commissioners shall meet once a month and represent the population as related to the Fire Service.
